Heyyyy yo!  You know it's been way too long when your last post is discussing the White Christmas of 2017, and you're about to travel to 90 degree CT summer in two days!  Ugh.  How could I be so lazy?  Lol well thank you for those who are back.  I can't even process this year so far.  It's felt like nothing worthwhile has happened, but then I stop and think, and SOO much awesomeness has happened.  While I promised myself I'd only Blog when something worthwhile was posted, I figured a check-in with my fan(s) was overdue.

We've lost some big names already this year.  Two that hit close to home were Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain.  Both happened to play a decent role in me and Cali's lives, so it was definitely quite a shock and lingering sadness.  However, some highlights have happened!  We had a road trip to San Diego to see Hamilton.  We had a road trip to Salinas, CA to see Impact Wrestling, and got to meet a ton of our favorite wrestlers!  We did...

“ANGEL ON MY TREE” by Mike Fusco

MERRY CHRISTMAS MORN!

Awoke today in Wallingford, CT to a WHITE CHRISTMAS!  Hasn’t happened since 2012!  Before all the presents and food, I wanted to take a moment to write thank you for anyone who has listened to my songs, checked out my posts, and been supportive to me.  Three in particular I want to call out by name are Chris Moore, my mom Debra Fusco, and my girlfriend California. Thank you so much... every time I feel unmotivated, I think of one or all three of you, and I find myself with ambition to update this site, apply for gigs, and making small strides towards the goals.  This will continue in 2018!  In the meantime, please Check out part two in me and Chris’s quick 2am Christmas Eve studio jam with my original song, “Angel On My Tree”, featuring Chris on drums!

Thank you again and I will be posting all the festive fun later!  -Mike Fusco

“CHRISTMAS (FROM NOW ON)” By Chris Moore

Helllllllloooo ho ho, Merry ChrisFusc!  I say that in the literal sense because Chris and I were up til the icy, wee hours of the night last night on the last day before Christmas Eve. A new song came to us!  Just what we wanted this year!  Haha it was a moment of me picking up the guitar and a tune/riff came to me, Chris immediately starting typing in his phones notepad, and our shared wavelength of not speaking yet somehow knowing exactly what we wanted the song to be about happened. It’s a great new tune and our third new song in a month.... our album is just about fully written (and COMPLETELY co-written!). I’m very excited about it. We also got some last minute, late-night shopping in (no more extended hours will make me sad!), got the shrimp cocktail and cheeses for today, got Dunkaccinos (of course!), and headed back to the studio to make good on a promise to do some Christmas song...

What an incredible trip I had for thanksgiving holiday this year!!! Truly the best one yet!  I did battle with illness for a lonnnggg time, still in the recovery phase. However, it made me FINALLY go to a doctor after an 8 year hiatus (before nursing school!). I was relieved to see a good blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol, in addition to all the normal stuff. My dad and I got to put up the best light show display we've ever done, though we had to brace the cold two of the 3 days (and broken light sets! 🙈). But it is something I truly look forward to all year. God to Black Friday shop after a feast of feasts and we had a great time- I got to see the outlets with my mom and get our late night Denny's. Me and jim kept trucking from 10pm to 8am!  That HAS to be a new record!  I reclaimed master of the universe bowling champ and Defended it once, too. Got some amazing gifts for Cali, picked up what she sent me to get my mom on her behalf, got to jam for about 6 hours with the Tr...

Sometimes I'm suffocated in the hustle and bustle of the city. People wonder why I take frequent trips to Connecticut... because it's home. There is open space which literally causes your visual field to open- which lets your mind open.  People who suffer from claustrophobia find it tough to breathe in an enclosed space.  Are the crazy?  No. I don't suffer from it, however, I feel a noticeable and vast difference when I'm in the open country. I can hear the birds behind my parents house and the sunset glowing the horizon orange and purple and I can physically feel my lungs open wider, my mind walk out of the symbolically confines room. I listen back to voice recordings on my phone and they blow up during my trips back. Sure, half of it is nonsensical songs left on Alberto's voicemail about not being able to find Starbucks, but creativity is still creativity. So today, I have taken a mental health day (borrowing a line from my friend Steve's high school days) and relaxing/tackling small...

DEC 21 '12 END OF THE WORLD SHOW

Live at the Covina Farmer's Market in Covina, CA, I gave a two+ hour chilling performance for shoppers, crafters, and cookers alike.  Of course, the chilling was more due to Mother Nature (around 50 degrees the whole outdoor, night time set!), but I'd be willing to wager some goosebumps were provided by my awesomeness.  And I had to be awesome... I promised I'd rock like it's the end of the world.

My first real concert, played at the world famous Whisky A Go Go in the heart of Hollywood.  I rocked an acoustic 45 minute set, playing songs old and new, with percussion help from those in the crowd who cheered on

SEPT 4 '12 CALIFORNIA HERE I COME

The final nail is hammered into place by my father, completing a 2+ year effort to finish my home recording studio.  Located in the woods of beautiful Wallingford, CT (my home town!), it rests dormant until I get back to record.  I have just left my home of 26 years to pursue an unplanned adventure across th country, making good on a self-promise to someday move to California.  Shed Zeppelin (Also named Studio Fifty-Fusc, flatFLAT, Wallywood, Feel-Like-Makin-Loft Studios, and Bowl of Studi'Os) was completed the very day I left...Breaking my streak of never finishing anything.  It still remains my absolute favorite place on the planet.
