Never too early!

What to my wondering eyes should appear?.... but snow started falling so early in the year!! 😍 ::cues song "The First Snow":: its IMPOSSIBLE To not already be excited so I'm embracing it and going with the flow! It's a time to dig down and push out this final "Lap" of the year and see how much you can accomplish, how memorable you can make it, how much you can bring joy to the ones you love, and how much you can be excited to start the next year!!  I can't can't can't wait.  So... I'm going to spend my day typing lyrics and looking up gigs and exercise if it stops raining (this would be snow if we weren't in cali!) hahah. So I'm trying to think of ways to maximize context and make a commitm

We're A Jam band ;)

Hahah hiiiii!  It's nice to type and have a voice because I haven't for the last four days!  Bad news for me, good news for everyone else around me lol. A new song came to me the other day, unsure of the name... but probably called, "Resting Place". It talks about using ones dead-end job as a stepping stone to what you really have in store for the future.  It has got to be one of the fastest songs that's ever come to me, completed in less than a minute and interrupted by a brief phone call hahah- but it's been stuck in my head ever since!  And there's a nod in it to my current illness (that I sadly also gave to Cali!)- "I open up my mail- and what is wrong with this?...but I mind my own busi

I'm Pickin Up

What's up dudes and Bettys?  It's the beach boy here!  Today my girlfriend California (makes me shake my head and smile every time I swear!) surprised me with the new anniversary edition release of the "Good Vibrations" single on sunburst colored vinyl! 😍 then we laid on the floor of my room and put on the record player and I proceeded to talk her ear off about the genius of Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys as a whole. They are America's band... and much in the way the Beatles changed everyone including my parents lives at that critical age, for me, even more so, The Beach Boys were IT.  I study them. I sang along in the back seat of the blue Dodge Grand Caravan (which were actually very hip

Wildcard... folding.

So the Mets didn't go all the way this year... but in that gloomy wake is an opportunity to focus a bit and regain 2-4 hours of every night back. Just updating my laptops OS at my favorite Starbucks with Cali.  They redid the inside!  And I got my first Peppermint Mocha of the year!  One of my fondest memories is being at this Starbucks, sitting outside in the "cold" 60 degrees, watching the sunset, looking up acting gigs, and talking to my mom back home. Tonight I will be typing up more lyrics and hoping to make general updates to my site... hopefully can do more on it this weekend!  Happy autum from So Cal, and happy Friday!

Leave Like Train

Hello from somewhere between CT and Manhattan!  I'm on the train right now and after my arms have given way to typing fatigue while working on the second half of song lyrics to type for my book, I thought I'd do a quick blog entry. That week went by so quickly!!  Can't wait to be back again so very soon!  The fall weather was perfect and the trip was action-packed with events. I didn't get to record much because my Alesia FireWire 8 track mixer does not have drivers that allow it to be recognized by the newest (or last two) Mac Operating systems. So I spent some free time jamming, exploring, and working on some lighting and effects for the Studio.  When I get to glue the Wallywood letters up

Live at the Covina Farmer's Market in Covina, CA, I gave a two+ hour chilling performance for shoppers, crafters, and cookers alike.  Of course, the chilling was more due to Mother Nature (around 50 degrees the whole outdoor, night time set!), but I'd be willing to wager some goosebumps were provided by my awesomeness.  And I had to be awesome... I promised I'd rock like it's the end of the world.

My first real concert, played at the world famous Whisky A Go Go in the heart of Hollywood.  I rocked an acoustic 45 minute set, playing songs old and new, with percussion help from those in the crowd who cheered on

The final nail is hammered into place by my father, completing a 2+ year effort to finish my home recording studio.  Located in the woods of beautiful Wallingford, CT (my home town!), it rests dormant until I get back to record.  I have just left my home of 26 years to pursue an unplanned adventure across th country, making good on a self-promise to someday move to California.  Shed Zeppelin (Also named Studio Fifty-Fusc, flatFLAT, Wallywood, Feel-Like-Makin-Loft Studios, and Bowl of Studi'Os) was completed the very day I left...Breaking my streak of never finishing anything.  It still remains my absolute favorite place on the planet.
