An Engaging Title...

Hellllooo! So my blog page asks me to "Add an engaging title"... which I thought was Ironic, because CHRIS IS GETTING MARRIED IN TWO DAYS! So it's been a crazy-packed visit home so far, but tons of fun. I can't wait to be back again already! So... quick updates. My flight left LAX late. This made me and about 8 others miss the connection in Texas. They had no other flights out. So, I stayed over night in Arlington. I had two more flights added, and got into town here a day late. But, an adventure nonetheless. I became a godfather officially this past Sunday and had a great lunch party at my favorite Italian restaurant with pretty much all of my relatives. For music news, me and fe

Hot Off the (Coffee) Press...

Just a quick note. I HATE the recording software GarageBand. It's so finicky it makes me insane lol. To counteract this, I LOVE the 101 degree heat right now. I am going to leave Dunkin and continue to enjoy driving in the convertible. That is all. :)

Like A Rolling Fossil...

Hello hello mis amigos! It is a sweltering 103 degrees currently in Los Angeles... but I love it! I will be taking this work show on the road later for Dunkin Donuts happy hour- 99 cent ice coffee with my name written all over it lol. So I have been getting busy living... speaking of Dylan lines lol. I saw Bob Dylan live with my good buddy Tomas here in LA. Unfortunately, the show was not nearly as dynamic as the last time I saw him with Chris. Last time, his voice wasn't as good, but he played guitar (both electric and acoustic), piano, and harmonica and played a LOT of songs I knew. This time? He stood there. He tapped the piano in recent-Brian-Wilson-esque fashion, and accompanie

Drumming Up Something New...

Hello Hello, happy Sunday! Spent this morning slaving over my laptop with Starbucks nearly completing captions for the new My Gear section of the site. Now? It's Sunday evening, and I'm back to slaving over my laptop with Starbucks lol. I've had a list of new show venues I've seen around to play, and so I've been writing e-mails and filling out applications. Next on the order of business is finding a date that I can go back to Central Casting and get in their system so I can have some updates on the film star frontier. Today I worked out the middle to a song that I had the tune to but hadn't found the chords. Those familiar with my music will know that the easiest chord isn't typically

DEC 21 '12 END OF THE WORLD SHOW

Live at the Covina Farmer's Market in Covina, CA, I gave a two+ hour chilling performance for shoppers, crafters, and cookers alike.  Of course, the chilling was more due to Mother Nature (around 50 degrees the whole outdoor, night time set!), but I'd be willing to wager some goosebumps were provided by my awesomeness.  And I had to be awesome... I promised I'd rock like it's the end of the world.

DEC 17 '12 FUSCY A WENT WENT

My first real concert, played at the world famous Whisky A Go Go in the heart of Hollywood.  I rocked an acoustic 45 minute set, playing songs old and new, with percussion help from those in the crowd who cheered on

SEPT 4 '12 CALIFORNIA HERE I COME

The final nail is hammered into place by my father, completing a 2+ year effort to finish my home recording studio.  Located in the woods of beautiful Wallingford, CT (my home town!), it rests dormant until I get back to record.  I have just left my home of 26 years to pursue an unplanned adventure across th country, making good on a self-promise to someday move to California.  Shed Zeppelin (Also named Studio Fifty-Fusc, flatFLAT, Wallywood, Feel-Like-Makin-Loft Studios, and Bowl of Studi'Os) was completed the very day I left...Breaking my streak of never finishing anything.  It still remains my absolute favorite place on the planet.
